11&12 Year Old Division

11&12U Baseball - Fall 2008

Welcome to Town & Country’s Baseball Program for 11 and 12 year olds!

If you played in our 11&12 year-old age division in Spring or Fall of last year, welcome back! If you are new to T&C’s baseball program or are moving up from our 9&10 age division, you are going to enjoy playing at this level, with longer base paths and a bigger field. The game moves at a faster pace with pitchers throwing a little harder and with greater accuracy. Please note there is no AA or AAA split in 11&12 year old baseball, as all players play in the same division.

Players are required to attend a try-out where they will showcase their hitting, fielding and throwing abilities in front of coaches who will be drafting them. Coaches may protect up to 4 players and will select players based upon their judgment of the players’ athletic ability. Typically, there are 2-3 scheduled practices and/or games during the week. We’ll play about 8 games on weekends starting in September and wrap it up with an end-of-season single elimination tournament at the end of October.

Please pay close attention to all calendar events on the baseball website, especially player registration and player try-outs and do not forget to register. We are always looking for qualified coaches, so if you enjoy coaching and have a head for the game, please consider volunteering for this very rewarding opportunity.
