Spring Season - Open Teams are approved by the T&C Executive Baseball Board by February and are required to register for league play within North Metro Austin Open Baseball ("NMAO"). The number of regular season games depends on NMAO's league structure.

Fall Season - only T&C Open Teams approved in the spring are eligible to register for the fall season which has no NMAO league play. Open Teams will continue to receive insurance coverage from T&C Optimist Club and are able to secure practice slots from September through December.

All Open Teams must conduct at least one Player Try-Out each year and publish it via the T&C Baseball website so that all T&C players have an opportunity to try out.
